The South Greene Middle School football team won its fifth straight game on Thursday, taking down Rogersville Middle 50-14.
The Rebels ran for 228 yards, led by Nash Rader who had 63 yards and two touchdowns. Jude Dyer ran for 35 yards and a touchdown, Charlie Lane had 33 yards and a score, and Braxton Wilhoit ran for 24 yards and a touchdown.
Tripp Neas and Shawn Ownby also had rushing touchdowns for South Greene. In total 12 different players carried the ball for the Rebels and six of them scored a touchdown.
Dyer led South Greene with five tackles. Eli Fillers had three tackles with to tackles for loss. Kayman Hall had three tackles and a punt block. As a team the Rebels held Rogersville to -27 yards of offense.
South Greene 14, Church Hill 0
On September 9 the Rebels beat Church Hill 14-0.
Nash Rader led South Greene with 98 yards rushing and 45 yards passing. He also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.
Jude Dyer had 43 rushing yards, and Trip Neas had 40 rushing yards with a touchdown.
Lucas Couch had one catch for 35 yards.
Antonio Turner had seven tackles with three for a loss. Will Johnson had seven tackles with four for a loss, and Couch had four tackles with three for a loss.
South Greene 22, Happy Valley 0
On September 2 South Greene beat Happy Valley 22-0.
Nash Rader ran for 51 yards and scored two touchdowns while throwing for 129 yards and another score.
Braxtin Roberts caught two passes for 60 yards. Lucas Couch caught two passes for 47 yards with a touchdown.
Tripp Neas ran for 27 yards and Jude Dyer ran for 23 yards.
On defense Zackriah Duncan had six tackles and Rader made four tackles. Colton Fillers and Shawn Ownby each had interceptions.
South Greene 47, Sullivan Central 0
On August 26 South Greene handed Sullivan Central a 47-0 loss.
Shawn Ownby had 78 rushing yards with a touchdown and 70 receiving yards with another score.
Braxton Wilhoit had 52 rushing yards with a touchdown, 33 receiving yards with a touchdown and a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Nash Rader threw for 53 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 42 yards. Jude Dyer ran for 38 yards and Kayman Hall had a rushing touchdown.
Sullivan Heights 34, South Greene 16
On August 19 the Rebels fell to Sullivan Heights 34-16.
Jude Dyer led South Greene with 94 yards rushing and scored a touchdown.
Braxton Wilhoit threw 74 yards and ran for 11 yards. Kayden Bowers ran for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Charlie Lane had 67 receiving yards and 30 rushing yards, and Colton Fillers had 41 receiving yards with a touchdown.
Dyer led South Greene with seven tackles.
