The South Greene Middle School football team earned a 40-0 win over Chuckey-Doak Middle on October 7.
Nash Rader led the way with 40 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 13 yards.
Jude Dyer and Braxton Wilhoit both ran for 60 yards for South Greene, while Shawn Ownby, Charlie Lane and Antonio Turner all had rushing touchdowns. As a team South Greene ran for 256 yards.
The Rebels held Chuckey-Doak to -34 yards of offense. Kayman Hall had three tackles for loss and Heath Norton had two sacks.
On October 5 SGMS’s junior varsity team earned a 38-14 win over Greeneville Middle.
The Rebels produced 357 yards of offense. Jude Dyer led the way with 117 yards and a touchdown on five carries.
Kayden Bowers was 3-for-5 passing for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Shawn Ownby, Tripp Neas, Colton Fillers and Noah Wright each had a score for South Greene.
Dyer also led the defense with seven tackles, three went for a loss.
