BASEBALL

Greeneville 4, Lakeway Christian Academy 2

The Greeneville baseball team picked up a 4-2 win over Lakeway Christian on Tuesday to improve to 24-2.

The Greene Devils earned five hits in the win. Carson Quillen was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks. Maddox Bishop was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Parker Shipley, Kobe Mundy and Corbin Cannon all had one hit.

On the mound Parker Shipley earned the win in five innings. He struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits. Will Harmon threw one inning in relief with no strike outs, one walk and and no hits allowed. Caden Fillers threw one inning with one strike out, no walks and two hits allowed.

Prior to the game Greeneville superfan George Rodriguez was honored and threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

North Greene 10, West Greene 0

The North Greene baseball team picked up a 10-0 win over West Greene on Tuesday night.

The Huskies picked up eight hits in the win. Adam Weir was 2-for-4, and Tanner Sexton was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Isaac Gaby was 2-for-4 with one RBI. Seth Charlton had two RBIs. Colton Robbins was 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jake Duffy was 1-for-2 with three runs scored.

West Greene had four hits with Austin Wampler, Jaden Gregg, Dylan Dodson and Conner Campbell all earning a single.

Aiden Halley earned a complete game win for the Huskies. He struck out one, walked one and allowed four hits.

Judson Higgins took the loss for West Greene. In 2/3 of an inning he struck out one, walked three and and allowed three hits with six runs. Braden McCamey threw 3 1/3 innings with two strikeouts, one walk, and three hits allowed. Ethan Carpenter threw one inning with one strikeout, no walks and two hits allowed.

SOFTBALL

Chuckey-Doak 8, South Greene 0

The Chuckey-Doak softball team beat South Greene 8-0 on Tuesday to clinch the top seed in the upcoming District 1-2A Tournament.

The Lady Knights earned 11 hits in the win led by Hayleigh Taylor who went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored. Hailey Williamson went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Makayla Ramsey went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Saniah Atchison was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Hailey Foshie had two RBIs.

For South Greene Madison Penley had a double. Kortnei Bailey and Haven Carter each had a single.

Ramsey took the win from the rubber for Chuckey-Doak. In seven innings she struck out 10, walked none and allowed three hits.

Kaylee Whitson took the loss. She struck out three, walked two and gave up 11 hits.

North Greene 4, Unaka 0

The North Greene softball team beat Unaka 4-0 on Tuesday to clinch the top seed in the upcoming District 1-1A Tournament.

The Lady Huskies earned eight hits with Haley Bailey going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Paysli Randolph was 2-for-3, and Matti Phillips was 1-for-3 with a double and one run scored. Cambell Gaby was 1-for-3 with and RBI and one run scored, and Anna Weems was 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Loren Blevins went 1-for-3.

Gaby earned the win in seven innings of work. She struck out eight, walked one and gave up three hits.

SOCCER

Greeneville 8, Elizabethton 0

The Greeneville soccer team picked up an 8-0 win over Elizabethton on Tuesday.

Drew Shelton led the way for the Devils with a hat trick. Sam Gourley had two goals, Austin Beets had one goal and Spencer Robinson had one goal.
