SOFTBALL

North Greene 10, West Greene 0

The North Greene softball team beat West Greene 10-0 on Tuesday.

Cambell Gaby struck out 10, walked none and gave up just one hit in a five-inning complete game to earn the win.

At the plate Gaby was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored. Matti Phillips was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Anna Weems was 2-for-2 with a home run, double, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Haley Bailey and Ashley Fulton both had singles for the Lady Huskies.

Alexis Cutshall earned West Greene's only hit of the night.

Hope Sexton took the loss for the Lady Buffaloes. In four innings she struck out seven, walked three and gave up nine hits.

South Greene 8, Happy Valley 5

The South Greene softball team beat Happy Valley 8-5 on Tuesday.

At the plate the Lady Rebels earned 13 hits. Paisley Brobeck was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Katie Willett was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Kortnei Bailey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Neveah Davis was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Keasley Hankins had a double.

In the circle Kaylee Whitson went seven innings with one strikeout, one walk and nine hits allowed.

Greeneville 16, Jefferson County 4

The Greeneville softball team picked up its third win in a row on Tuesday, taking down Jefferson County 16-4.

The Lady Devils earned 16 hits and 14 RBIs in the win. Kyla Jobe was 3-for-6 with three doubles, three RBIs and a run scored. Stoan Rader was 4-for-5 with a double and four RBIs. Madison Carpenter went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Lydia Darnell was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Trudi Aiken was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, and Lauren Million had a double.

In the circle Leah Phillips struck out 12, walked four and gave up four hits.

BASEBALL

South Greene 15, Happy Valley 3

The South Greene baseball team earned a 15-3 win over Happy Valley on Tuesday.

The Rebels scored their 15 runs on eight hits. Alec Jones went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Dustin Crum also had a double while Graydon Rader, Conner Race, Colby Brooks, Seth Franklin, and Gavin Boyle had singles. Brendan Lisenby had two RBIs.

Crum earned the win on the mound. In five innings he struck out eight, walked two and allowed three hits.

Knoxville Catholic 6, Greeneville 2

The Greeneville baseball team took its first loss of the year, 6-2, to Knoxville Catholic on Tuesday.

The Greene Devils had trouble handling Tennessee signee Daniel Paris who struck out 12 and gave up just three hits in the complete game effort.

Carson Quillen had a two-run home run for the for the Greene Devils while Parker Shipley and Carson Norris both had singles.

Colton Richards took the loss on the mound. In 3 2/3 innings he struck out two, walked two and gave up six hits.

Lakeway Academy 7, North Greene 0

The North Greene baseball team fell to Lakeway Academy 7-0 on Tuesday.

The Huskies earned six hits in the loss with with Seth Charlton going 2-for-3. Colton Robbins had a double, while Jake Duffy, Damian Burns, and Tyler Britton all had singles.

Aiden Hailey took the loss. In 5 1/3 innings he struck out two, walked none and gave up six hits. North Greene's defense made five errors and only two of the Lions runs were earned.

SOCCER

Greeneville 3, Unicoi County 0

The Greeneville soccer team improved to 8-1-2 on Tuesday by picking up a 3-0 District 1-AA win over Unicoi County.

Simon Holt started the scoring in the 31st minute, Spencer Robinson followed with a goal in the 43rd minute and Brady Quillen scored in the 70th minute. Drew Shelton assisted on all three goals.

West Greene 2, Northview 1

The West Greene soccer team picked up a 2-1 win over Northview Academy on Tuesday. Nic Horner scored both goals for the Buffaloes.
