BASEBALL

Greeneville 7, Sullivan East 0

The Greeneville baseball team improved its record to 12-0 on Thursday with a 7-0 win over Sullivan East.

The Greene Devils earned 12 hits on Thursday. Eli House was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Colton Richards went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Parker Shipley and Carson Quillen both went 2-for-4. Will Harmon and Carson Norris both had doubles for the Greene Devils.

On the mound Quillen tossed a seven-inning complete game with five strikeouts, four walks and two hits allowed.

North Greene 13, Gatlinburg-Pittman 4

The North Greene baseball went to Gatlinburg-Pittman on Thursday and earned a 13-4 win.

The Huskies earned 11 hits with Damian Burns going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Adam Weir was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Jake Duffy went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Don Stansfield went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

On the mound Aiden Halley earned the win in 6 2/3 innings of work. He struck out six, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Unicoi County 7, West Greene 0

The West Greene baseball team fell Unicoi County 7-0 on Thursday.

On offense the Buffaloes earned six hits. Jaden Gregg and Braden McCamey both went 2-for-3 with a double. Judson Higgins and Mason McCamey each had one single.

On the mound Braden McCamey took the loss. In three innings he struck out four, walked one and allowed 12 hits. Higgins threw the final three innings with three strikeouts, no walks and three hits allowed.

Morristown East 15, Chuckey-Doak 7

The Chuckey-Doak baseball team fell to Morristown East 15-7 on Thursday.

The Black Knights scored their seven runs on four hits. Cadin Tullock went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Dillon Shelton and Dom Atchison both had single.

Lynkin Cutshaw took the loss on the mound. In 3 2/3 innings he struck out four, walked four, and gave up five hits.

TENNIS

The Greeneville tennis teams picked up a pair of 9-0 wins over Cherokee on Thursday.

In the boys match Greeneville's Brayden Kennedy beat Landon Elkins 8-0, Jackson Weems beat Aiden Wood 8-0, Tanner Smith won 8-0 over Vance Gulley, Noah Helton won 8-0 over Avery Lowe, Ace Patel won 8-3 over Brayden Lawson and Emiliano Sainos beat Andrew Brummitte 8-1.

In doubles Weems and Smith topped Elkins and Wood 8-0. Kennedy and Patel won 8-0 wover Lawson and Lowe. Helton and Sainos beat Gulley and Brummitte 8-0.

In the girls matches Allie Renner beat Mallory Cope 8-1. Emma Waddell topped Sawyer Fields 8-0, Palmer Ballard won 8-0 over Ariel Ferrell and Zoey Hayes beat Leah Ryan 8-1. Madison Metcalf earned a 8-0 win over Emma Morgan and Emma Sauceman beat Emma Horton 8-0.

In doubles Renner and Ballard beat Cope and Ferrell 8-5, Waddell and Sauceman beat Fields and Ryan 8-0 and Hayes and Lindy Carter took down Young and Davenport 8-0.
