Several local middle school track and field athletes had a chance to compete at the TMSAA State Track Meet in Clarksville over the weekend.
South Greene’s Landon Brown, Tripp Neas, Jude Dyer and Noah Wright were the top finishers among local athletes, placing third in the Boys Class A 4x100 relay at 47.82 seconds.

South Greene’s Gilli Moratalla was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.68 seconds. Moratalla was 13th in the 400 meters.
In the boys 100 meters Dyer was 10th and Neas was 12th. In the high jump Wright placed 13th. The Rebels 4x200 relay team was 12th and their 4x400 relay team was 14th.

In the Class AA meet Greeneville’s Trey Bailey earned a 10th place finish in the 1,600 meters.
Greeneville’s Taren Claridy was 10th in the 100 meters, and 14th in the 200 meters.
Also in the 200 meters Joey Hickerson was 13th and Zyaire Neal was 15th.
Elijah Feezel was 12th in the long jump and 15th in the high jump.
The Devils 4x100 relay team placed 11th and the 4x200 relay team placed 15th.
Mackenzie Castro was 15th in the 100-meter hurdles with a season best time of 18.12 seconds. Maria Lyde was 13th in the high jump.
The Lady Devils 4x200 relay team was 13th and the 4x100 relay team was 15th.
