Several local middle school runners competed at the TMSAA State Championship on Saturday at Weakley Park in Clarksville.
The West Greene boys placed 11th as a team in the Class A race with Elijah Williams leading the way with a 43rd place finish in 13:22.94. Austin Spradling was 71st, Ethan Carpenter 76th, Hunter Franklin 85th, Joe Reams 102nd, Trent Franklin 109th and Dallas Williams 119th.
As an individual West Greene’s Autumn Carter came in 23rd place in 14:45.72.
In the Class AA race Greeneville’s Isaac Gibson came in 52nd place with a time of 12:37.15. Carter Raby was 72nd in a time of 12:55.26.
For the Lady Devils Riley Castro came in 64th place in a time of 14:08.29, Mackenzie Castro was 67th at 14:12.25 and Susan Mulhollen was 92nd.
Thompson Station won the boys Class A State Chmpionship, Brentwood won the boys Class AA race.
Legacy Middle School won the girls Class A State Championship, and Brentwood won the girls Class AA State Championship over Liberty Bell of Johnson City.
